Ha, yes I'm flying out tomorrow morning. I've never seen the blue turf in person, so that novelty will be kind of neat from my perspective. I've seen that on TV since I was in elementary school.
Not really anyone in particular. The young receivers have practiced well this year. You'll likely see James Price start in place of Gentry. Parker and Murphy will get extra reps this week, too.
As for Doddles, I don't expect to see him back this year. I hope to have more on him, but he's currently not being made available to media. I've heard some things from reliable sources, but I'd like to dig into it more before officially reporting anything.
Josh is coming along well. He should be healthy in about a month or so, but of course, it'd be unwise to play him and waste his medical redshirt.
I wouldn't say that Kongbo isn't Cowboy tough. He never returned interview requests after leaving, and he even to his teammates, he didn't say much. Just kind of left.
I hadn't heard the Ole Miss offer, just the Tennessee one. Impressive, nonetheless.
Mr. Denega, er, Kramer,
Washington has looked good from the little I've had a chance to see so far. Austin Conway made a couple of nice defensive plays yesterday, too. Both are ultra-quick.
With that backcourt, I think whoever can keep their assist-to-turnover ratio up will see a good share of the minutes.
UW VB hasn't been in town when I've been in town recently, so haven't seen them play in a while. But the Cowgirls' RPI is at 48 right now. That's right around the cutoff last year for at-large bids. I'd say they can probably only afford another loss to have a strong chance to get into the NCAA tourney.
Arguably? I'd like to see him win a tourney. He's certainly played well.
I haven't specifically asked him about that, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. He had a very humble upbringing, and that sort of money could really make a difference. I certainly wouldn't blame him. But that's still a year away, so we'll see. Staying healthy is the big thing right now.
Took my first loss last week. Jamaal Charles going down was brutal. And then Randall Cobb decided that three points was all he needed to score, so that was a killer, too. Still 5-1, though. Hopeful that Somewhere Over Dwayne Bowe will get back on track this week!
I feel ya. Odell Beckham Jr. needs to get healthy for me.
I'd probably go with Miller, but that's really a toss-up there. Neither have been overly impressive, iMO.
OK, I've got about 5-10 minutes left. Any last questions?
I caught the last bit of practice yesterday, but that's about it. I was on the road all of last week unfortunately.
Similar deal with the Cowgirls, though. So much youth and inexperience. Need some youngsters to play consistently to help out Dent and Co.
Yes, and in a hurry. That was part of the hope when Legerski made the hire.
Absolutely. Josh Adams said this incoming class is the most talented he's seen during his time at UW. Just very thin and inexperienced. Definitely will be some ups and downs this year. But the future appears bright, no doubt.
OK, folks. Going to wrap this up here. Thanks for joining me this week.
My video live chat will be back on Saturday about 90 minutes before game time if you have any leftover questions.
Thanks again, and keep reading the Casper Star-Tribune.
