I think that was a lot of it. There were a few drops, but mostly I think Smith was just a little off. They missed 2-3 TDs by probably a few inches. They need to tighten the screws quicker in the conference season.
I don't have CBS Sports Network but I'd been told about that. And of course, there is no one better to represent the program in my opinion than the great Dave Walsh.
Good, I think. Christensen said he's always looking for complacency and he hasn't seen that so far. Plus, in playing an FCS school I think a lot of these guys are still bitter about the loss to Cal Poly last year.
Blair Burns told me, "It's always in the back of our minds that we can't let the same thing happen that happened last year." So they think about that quite a bit.
Yeah, they haven't recently been known for their passing game. Wyoming had an early taste of stopping the option last week with that backup Idaho QB. They'll see a lot more of it next week.
Good question. They want to redshirt him. I was even surprised that Tommy Thornton came in and played. I thought they might've wanted to redshirt him also and play Kirkegaard. Guess not.
But no doubt, they want two years out of Thompson after Brett Smith departs.
He was certainly not very good, but it's never easy to be thrown into the fire in a game like that. But in no way is he a Mountain West starting QB. He's now behind true freshman Tommy Thornton, 4th on depth chart.
Yeah, it's always hard to keep contain with the option. The Idaho QB shot himself in the foot by getting fumble hands. He was having success, but he basically took himself out of the game.
That's a tough one to judge when the FCS teams so rarely come up and play, but I'd say N. Colorado is probably worse. They can really score with Lobato at QB, but they lost to D-2 Colorado State-Pueblo last week. C'mon, man.
They say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one...
That's be one hell of a year for the Pokes. They should probably start by beating Northern Colorado. One step at a time.
Can't imagine the Pokes not scoring very heavily as long as Smith and Co. stay healthy. The Bears don't have the depth to keep up with all the Pokes' offensive weapons. I'll say 48-17. Stepping out on a ledge there.
That could happen, but it's just hard for me to assume that the Wyoming D will duplicate that awesome performance from last week. Northern Colorado is a FCS school, but no doubt they can score. Lobato is a big QB and he has a few WRs.
That's because what I usually do is use the photo the Wyoming Twitter account sends out each week. But that's a good point, and in the future I'm going to take a few photos myself. And honestly, I can't remember if the decal was brown or gold. I thought it was brown, though.
Not sure, but I know that Lucas went to multiple of his brother's games when he had a break from school here in the summer. The least Michael could do is return the favor.
I've only seen photos of the gold stripe and gold decal. I guess we'll see for sure on Saturday.
And Wacha has indeed been very impressive. 20 tackles in first two games. He has good football instincts and can fly in pass coverage
Are you talking about that brown on brown one? That's the only one I remember, and they used it last week.
I actually think you're dead on with that choice. Props to you, Chad.
Ah, don't remember that. I'll have to give the show another look, or just pop in there and take it.
And that's all the time I have for this week, folks! Thanks again for stopping by. See you all in the WAR on Saturday!
