Yeah gopokes, I could see that playing into Wyoming's hands. It's too early to tell, but I think Wyoming's D will be better against the run.
Not that they could be worse. And hopefully Yarbrough and Puletasi can consistently harass Johnson.
Haha, lots of people had that complaint 73. As few halftime adjustments as there were, I also think lack of depth on both sides led Wyoming to wear down consistently in 2H.
The praise for Duval has been never-ending. They seem stronger and fairly assignment sound. Bohl is pleased, and it's hard not to trust his judgment with recent stout D-Lines at NDSU.
But again, Wyoming fans have been burned before on the DL front.
Emily, unfortunately Fashion Watch is dead. I am in mourning.
Last year Wyoming was outscored 253-160 after halftime...
But expect brown top, gold pants, white helmet w/ brown bucking horse. Solid look.
He's already up to 700+ Casper. The future is bright!
Carbon, love that enthusiasm. I definitely think this defense can surprise some people. If the 2014 team had the '13 schedule, you could be looking at 8 wins.
Thanks gopokes. It's definitely a bit harder when we were able to see everything with DC. But most programs now do what Bohl is doing. I don't think there's anything questionable going on. The concern is that a CSU scout in disguise might drive down and videotape practice if it's completely open.
Several coaches have told me horror stories about their formations leaking out b/c of open practices.
Wyo, Chase is definitely smaller but they like his leverage, quickness and burst. I think those two will play well off of each other. They bring different things to the table
None of us could, 73. No worries.
No, he was LB coach casper.
The d-coordinator is NDSU head coach now.
No worries about Connor Rains. Not much has been said about him because I think he's one of the few guys that is a solid, for sure starter. He isn't very vocal. It's not a very loud group.
But I think Rains will be just fine if he's healthy.
Got ya, gopokes. It's definitely harder to get a sense of how things are going to look, because we see very few scrimmage drills. But that's the way of college football these days. Lots of paranoid coaches, and other teams trying to get ahead.
I think somewhere in that 21-17, 24-17 Wyoming range.
Can't see it being a big blowout.
Haven't read that yet, 73. But heads up -- we've got a huge Bohl feature that I'm very proud of coming out on Friday.
By the way, that's my sports editor, Ross Jacobson, throwing in random stats and stories into the chat. Props to him. Makes my stuff look readable.
My sense is that the defense will be pretty identical to NDSU. The offense will look a little different because the coaches are adjusting to Wyoming's personnel.
Haha, all part of the job Casper. But being able to tell stories about sports every day? I can't complain. This is my dream job.
